Official Rules for CWMC 2013 Awards

At the CWMC picnic in July we held our annual awards committee meeting to discuss registration and voting procedures for the upcoming year.  Here are the rules for registration and voting for the year ending December 31, 2013.

The following change was made in voter qualifications.  In order to remain on the voter list each year, you must be an active member of C. W. Monger’s Message Board.  Board management purged all inactive members from the board recently.  If you were purged for inactivity, then you were also purged from the voter list.  In order to vote, you must register on the CWM message board, make at least one post, and then register to vote.

If you were registered to vote for the 2012 election and participated in the election process by either nominating or voting in either of the two rounds of voting and you remain an active member of the CWM board, you remain on the voter list and do not have to register again.  If you did not participate, then your name has been removed from the list and you must register again.  To see if you are on the list of registered voters, click the following link to see the list: Official Registered Voters List for CWMC 2013 Awards

For first time voters, in order to nominate and vote for the 2013 awards, you must first be a member of CW Monger's message board with at least one post prior to registering to vote.   CW Monger's message board will be the only qualifying message board.  Secondly, you must register to vote between September 1, 2013 and midnight PST December 31, 2013.

Over the years at our annual meeting during the CWMC picnic, ways in which we could better classify distinctions between brothels in an easily recognized manner have been discussed.  We decided at this year’s meeting to change the classification from size of the brothels to distance from Las Vegas and Reno.  Small Brothel of the Year has been changed to Rural Brothel of the Year.  This classification will be based on a 50 mile radius from Main and Fremont Street in Las Vegas, and from 1st and Virginia Street in Reno.  All brothels located within 50 miles of these locations will be in the Brothel of the Year category.  All others will be in the Rural Brothel of the Year category.  We believe this will provide a more definitive division between categories.

There will be three awards presented this year. The awards are Courtesan of the Year (COY), Brothel of the Year (BOY), and Rural Brothel of the Year (RBOY). These awards cover the calendar year 2013.  In order to qualify for Courtesan of the Year, a lady must have been active in LPIN during the calendar year 2013 (previous COY winners are not eligible, regardless of her working name).  In order to qualify for Brothel of the Year (or Rural Brothel of the Year), a brothel must have been in operation during the calendar year 2013.

Disclaimer: In order to verify your eligibility to vote, you must include your handle and a valid e-mail address when you register to vote.  When you register please record your registered name and the email address you used for registration.

If for any reason your registered e-mail address cannot be used please contact us immediately at vote@lpinawards.com and provide your registered name, your old e-mail address, and your new e-mail address and we will make appropriate corrections.  Any nomination or vote with no name, misspelled name, or one without the matching e-mail address will be declared invalid and will not be counted.  You will not be contacted.  Your vote will not count.

All registered voters including management, staff, and working girls will be able to vote in all categories.  When voting you must use the same handle and e-mail address you used for voter registration.  We will not be able to provide you with your registration information.

The top five candidates in each category from the first round of voting will move forward as finalists to the final round of voting.  In case of a tie for last place, the tie will be broken in favor of the candidate receiving the earliest tying vote.

In case of a tie in any category at the end of the final round of voting, the tie will be broken in favor of the candidate receiving the earliest tying vote.

Each person will only be able to submit one nomination or one vote in each category.  A voter will not be allowed to change his or her vote once it has been submitted.

The nomination and voting rounds will be as follows:

The nominating period for all awards will begin February 1, 2014 and end February 28, 2014 at midnight PST.

The first round of voting for all awards will begin March 1, 2014 and end March 31, 2014 at midnight PDT.

The final round of voting for all awards will begin April 1, 2014 and end April 30, 2014 at midnight PDT.

The winners will be announced at the CWMC Awards Banquet on July 18, 2014 in Reno.

A COY winner will be limited to one year.  If a lady has previously won COY, she is ineligible to be nominated again, regardless of her working name.  BOY and RBOY can still be won multiple times.
