Official Rules for CWMC 2015 Awards

  • Herein stated are the Official CWMC 2015 Awards Rules for registration, nominations and voting for the Award Year ending December 31, 2015.

The CWMC 2015 Awards Categories
  • There will be three awards presented for the calendar year 2015, which covers the period between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015:
    -
    • Courtesan of the Year (COY)
    • Brothel of the Year (BOY)
    • Rural Brothel of the Year (RBOY)
  • Classification and Eligibility for each Award Category
    -
    • In order to be eligible for nomination for Courtesan of the Year, a Lady must have been active in LPIN during the calendar year 2015 and must not have previously won in this category regardless of working name.
    • In order to be eligible for nomination for Brothel of the Year or Rural Brothel of the Year, a brothel must have been in operation during the calendar year 2015.
    • The classification of Brothel of the Year and Rural Brothel of the Year will be based on a 50 mile radius from Main and Fremont Streets in Las Vegas, and from 1st and Virginia Streets in Reno.  All brothels located within 50 miles of one of these locations (straight-line measurement) will be in the Brothel of the Year category.  All others will be in the Rural Brothel of the Year category.

Nominations and Voting

  • Voting Procedures
    -
    • In order to be eligible to submit nominations and vote, you must have previously registered, been verified, and must be currently listed on the Registered Voters List.  See the Voting Eligibility Requirements section below for details on voter verification.
      -
    • When nominating or voting for candidates, you will need to include your handle and the same email address you provided when you registered to vote.  When you register please record your name/handle and the email address you used for registration.
      -
    • If for any reason your registered email address cannot be used, please contact the committee immediately at vote@lpinawards.com and provide your registered name/handle, your old email address, and your new email address and we will make appropriate changes.
      -
    • Any nomination or vote with no name/handle, misspelled name, or one without the matching email address will be declared invalid and will not be counted.  You will not be contacted, and your vote will not count.  However, a ballot rejection notation will be posted on the list of voters that participated in that round of the contest.  It is imperative that voters check the list of voters that participated in each round of the contest to confirm that their ballots were received.
      -
    • All registered voters including management, staff, and working girls will be able to vote in all categories.  When voting you must use the same handle and email address you used for voter registration.  We will not be able to provide you with your registration information under any circumstances.
      -
  • Nominations, Voting Rounds, and Advancement

    • The Nomination and Voting Rounds will be as follows:
      • -
        • The Nominating Period for all awards begins February 1, 2016 and ends February 29, 2016 at midnight PST.
        • The Preliminary Round of voting for all awards begins March 4, 2016 and ends March 31, 2016 at midnight PDT.
        • The Final Round of voting for all awards begins April 4, 2016 and ends April 30, 2016 at midnight PDT.
        -
    • The top five candidates in each category from the Preliminary Round of voting will proceed as finalists to the final round of voting.  In the case of a tie for fifth place, the tie will be broken in favor of the candidate receiving the earliest tying vote.
      -
    • In case of a tie for first place in any category at the end of the final round of voting, the tie will be broken in favor of the candidate receiving the earliest tying vote.
      -
    • Only one nomination or vote per person per category will be permitted in each round of the CWMC 2015 contest.
      • Each registrant will only be allowed to submit one nomination or one vote in each round of the contest for each of the three categories.  A voter will not be allowed to change their vote once it has been submitted.  Only the first valid nominations/voting ballot in a given round will be accepted by that handle with follow-up ballots being ignored.
      • Individuals caught circumventing these rules (i.e. using multiple handles to vote) shall be immediately stricken from the voter list. Their ballots shall be disqualified, and henceforth they shall not be allowed to vote in the CWMC Awards contests ever again.  This decision shall be made by a majority vote of the CWMC Awards Committee.

Declaration of Winners, Limitations

  • The winners shall be announced at the CWMC Awards Banquet on Friday July 22, 2016.  Paid banquet attendees shall be notified by email of the confidential banquet venue.  The banquet venue, host, master of ceremonies, speakers, and program shall be designated by the CWMC Awards Committee on an annual basis.
    -
  • There will be absolutely NO PHOTOGRAPHY allowed inside the banquet hall except by the official CWMC photographer or designee, since we strive to protect everyones privacy and anonymity.  Note that taking photos without the express permission of the people appearing in said photos is a banning offense; the committee will bar offenders from banquet attendance permanently, AND violation of this rule will result in immediate and permanent removal from the Verified Voters List.
    -
  • A COY recipient may only win the COY title once.  If a lady has previously won COY, she is ineligible to be nominated again, regardless of her working name.
    -
  • BOY and RBOY recipients may win multiple times.

Qualifying to Vote for the CWMC 2015 Awards

  • Due to voting improprieties in past years, the CWMC Awards Committee has been compelled to implement a voter verification registration system.  This method has been devised to ensure that each person on our registered voters list is only able to cast one nomination or vote in each of the preliminary and final rounds.  Also, there is a desire to have actual brothel patrons that visit brothels as well as brothel personnel that choose to participate in the voting be the ones allowed to cast ballots in the nominations and voting rounds, as opposed to just any anonymous person that may decide to join SIN (an anonymous person is unverifiable as a legitimate member and may have previously registered under another handle).

  • Voting Eligibility Requirements

    • Note: A CWMC Awards Verified Voter must be an active participating Cyber Mongers SIN Forum member.  Cyber Mongers SIN Forum management may purge all inactive members from the board annually.  Members purged from the Cyber Mongers SIN Forum may be purged from CWMC Awards voter registration too.  In addition, Cyber Mongers SIN Forum members that are removed from the membership list at any time may be immediately removed from the CWMC registered voters list.  Members that wish to cast ballots in CWMC 2015 must first register on the Cyber Mongers SIN Forum, submit one post, and then register to vote.

Note to previously registered voters from last year's contest:

If you were registered to vote in the 2014 election, are still an active Cyber Mongers SIN Forum member, and the Awards Committee has been able to double verify you already (see qualifications for double verification below), you will remain on the voter list and do not need to register again.  It is strongly recommended that you check the Registered Voters List to see if you have been double verified and are still registered.

In order to qualify for the voter list:

      • You must be registered on the Cyber Mongers SIN Forum, and must have made at least one post.  Note that members that are removed from SIN forums for inactivity or other reasons will automatically be removed from the Verified Voter List.
        -
      • You must have met at least two persons from the lists of handles below which have been designated as Verifiers by the CWMC Awards Committee that are willing to verify that they have met you in person.
        -
      • Alternatively, if only one person on the Verifier Lists is able to verify that they've met you in person but you have met someone else that is currently on the Verified Voters List, the person you have met may ask a Verifier (Designated Verifier or Awards Committee Member) to vouch on their behalf.  Vouching on their behalf simply means that a Verifier must confirm the references.  Prospective registrants that haven't met any Verifiers but have met other Double Verified persons instead are encouraged to submit their Registration Forms including references for CWMC Awards Committee evaluation on an individual basis.
        -
      • If you meet the criteria outlined above and wish to be added to the Verified Voters List, you must submit a Voter Registration Form while the designated registration period is open.  You must provide your SIN Handle, email address, and the handles of at least two Double Verified references that have met you in person.  The Awards Committee will confirm that the persons you named have met you in person before adding your handle to the Verified Voter List.  Note: Those persons who have already been Double Verified by the Awards Committee, and are included on the Official Registered Voters List for CWMC 2015 Awards will not need to register again for CWMC 2015 Awards.
        -
      • New Voter Registrations will only be accepted during the designated Registration Period of October 1st to December 31st of 2015.

      Verifiers

      • The list of individuals so designated as Verifiers shall be composed of all current CWMC Awards Committee Members, along with a number of Designated Verifiers which the Committee has selected.  Designated Verifiers shall be added to the list by majority vote of the CWMC Awards Committee, and should be composed of individuals that visit various brothels regularly which are currently active members of SIN. Designated Verifiers currently include the following members, but more may be added later.

      Designated Verifiers
Bergerman, Dr. Who, Hiking Guy, Interested Bystander, Rick James (RJ), SixT9er & Slednx

Registration Period for this year's Contest

      • Prospective Verified Voter Registrants must submit a Voter Registration Form between October 1st and December 31st of 2015.  No new registrations shall be accepted after December 31st, 2015.

      Unforeseen Circumstances

      • Should unforeseen circumstances which fall outside of these rules require a resolution, the CWMC Awards Committee shall make such decisions by a majority vote of the currently active CWMC Awards Committee members.
